About the Venue

The Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point is the historic home of the annual Lake County Fair — but it's also one of the region's most flexible event destinations. The county-owned property offers multiple rentable buildings and outdoor shelters, each suited to a different kind of gathering.

The Industrial Building has been featured in regional wedding press as an elegant wedding venue — high ceilings, generous floor space, and great elbow room for dancing. The Grandstand Arena offers a 460' x 260' performance area with bleacher seating for about 4,000 — ideal for the largest concerts, fairs, and rodeos. The 4-H, Annex, and Agricultural Buildings, plus several outdoor shelters, round out the options for reunions, organization fundraisers, and family-style events.

The grounds also include a covered bridge in a wooded area that's become a sought-after photo location for couples. As a county-operated facility, the fairgrounds are typically one of the more budget-friendly venue options in Northwest Indiana — and we cater the full range of events held there.

Inside the Industrial Building

The Industrial Building's exposed wood trusses and brick walls make it one of Northwest Indiana's most distinctive wedding spaces — a single open room that handles ceremony, cocktail, and reception in succession or all at once. We set up our service tables along the back wall, run the bar near the windows, and clear the center floor for dancing once dinner wraps.

The building's scale lets us handle large guest counts without crowding, and the natural light through the factory-style windows gives the room a different character morning to evening — sunlit and airy for the ceremony, candlelit and intimate by dinner.
